Laravel developer and author

Plantation, Florida

On X

Twelve years in the Laravel ecosystem, from Laracon to Flatcamp on both sides of the Atlantic. I write two kinds of books: guides to building software that outlives its authors, and an essay on Freemasonry, symbol and transmission. Both are about the same thing: receiving a craft whole and handing it on intact.

Julian Beaujardin

About

Laravel

He has spent the last twelve years building with PHP and Laravel and the ecosystem around it: Livewire, Alpine and Tailwind. He has been part of that community since its early days, attending Laracon and Flatcamp in the United States and in Europe.

By day he is a Web Application Senior Architect at Service Corporation International (SCI Direct) in Plantation, Florida, where he led the development of SCI Nautica, the company's nationwide e-commerce platform, and SCI Portal, its remote sales platform. He is also the founder of Webplo, which puts that same engineering discipline within reach of a local business owner with no technical middleman.

Laravel, shipping fast. and Laravel, thinking fast. grew out of that work: what twelve years of shipping teach that the documentation cannot. Both are free to read here.

Freemasonry

He was raised a Master Mason in Luz de América Lodge No. 255, at the Orient of Miami, and holds the thirty-second degree of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite. He is neither a historian of the Order nor a scholar of its archives.

No Longer Divided (2026), published in Spanish as Dejar de vivir dividido, came out of an observation it took him years to learn to formulate: that to know the language of a Tradition is not the same as to understand it. Whatever is of value in it he received; his only merit will have been not to interrupt the chain.
